My wife and I, along with our dog, spent two months in this apartment, and it worked very well. The space is nicely laid out with all appliances including a washer/dryer. We mostly cooked our meals in the apartment, as the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and you really dont need to bring any. There are plenty of towels and linens supplied and there is a surprising amount of dresser/closet space.
The apartment is very convenient to public transportation (D5 and D6 bus stops literally at the door), and it is a short walk into the commercial section of Georgetown (less than 20 minutes). It is in a very good neighborhood with a large park nearby, and is very close to the C & O canal towpath for walking, running or biking.
The landlord is excellent, very friendly and responsive to any concerns or requests. This is a great rental if you are looking for a place to stay in western DC.
I just spent two months living in this apartment, and I could not have asked for a better living arrangement. This place was fully furnished: with extra linens, towels, cooking utensils and pots and pans, and a collection of detergents and cleaning supplies, often I would go out to buy something only to realize that it had already been supplied. The house is right along the D6 and D5 Metro bus lines, which makes getting into the city fairly easy. My interactions with the landlady have been great. Its been very easy to get a hold of her if I needed something or had questions, and shes been super friendly and helpful since the first time I called looking for a place. If you are going to be in the Georgetown area for an extended period of time, I would definitely consider this place. id come back again!
The studio apartment was very nice and much larger than expected. The landlord was very helpful at move in and throughout my stay and the studio was very clean and well stocked with cookware/linens and basic necessities like dishsoap and laundry detergent. The location is right next to (as in less than 30 paces from the door) the D5 and D6 bus lines. I rented it as a summer student at Georgetown university and found the walk manageable, if a bit of a stretch sometimes (I would normally cut through glover park at P street if it wasnt raining which reduced the walk to the ICC to about 15 minutes). Very comfortable setting, spacious, well lit and nothing to complain about during my stay. Would definitely consider this place in the future for short to medium term rentals.
