I had trouble communicating with this landlord, which resulted in an error when I moved out. I did receive the security deposit, but I did find his manner less professional than I had hoped.
The following is a response from the landlord: This tenant had signed a two month agreement, but early on asked to move out after one month. I agreed. Later, I had another tenant to move in immediately. I asked the first tenant if he was willing to move out that day and he agreed. I then confirmed with the concierge that the tenant had vacated, and went to have the apartment cleaned. The communication was unclear, and the tenant had not finished moving out. After he had finished, I handed him a check for the security deposit and all was settled.
